Micro-organotypic Culture System

Shown below is our system for the long term organotypic culture of tissue explants designed in conjunction with the Faculty's engineering specialist Andras Nagy. The system is designed operate entirely within a standard tissue culture incubator, and utilizes reusable (Teflon culture inserts) or disposable (50 ml Falcon tube – chamber housing) components in order to reduce cost and increase the number of samples which can be cultured simultaneously.
